Went to Fort Worth this weekend to the Impressionist Exhibit...Way lotta Renoir's. (I'm not crazy about Renoir).
Some incredible Sisleys but my favorite was a tiny Bonnard.

MUSEUM STAIRS...Nelson Atkins Museum, Kansas City
We were visiting the fabulous Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City.
Rather than trek back to the giant marble stairs, we opted to go down some small service stairs, instead.
Just below the 2nd floor level, I peered over the edge and saw this incredible vortex of stairs, with the red dot of a fire access point at the basement level.
Immediately, I shot a photo, and later worked up sketches, from which I made this 24 x 30" acrylic painting.

I have been so busy getting ready for this show, and now it's up. The title is "The Past Two Years", a retrospective of the last two years of my work. Here's a photo or two...
